Young woman with a water pitcher is one of the most famous paintings by Jan Vermeer, who is considered to be one of the greatest and most talented Dutch artists. Little known about the life of this painter, however, he’s a good representative of the era of Baroque in Holland, which was the time of huge success and well-being and social unity of the merchant class. It’s known that Jan (Johannes) Vermeer died when he was only 43 years old, and during his life time he had eight children. Usually Vermeer painted little domestic scenes. The most distinguishing feature of all his works is the special use of light and tone, to which he paid much of attention.
The painting Young woman with a water pitcher was finished in 1675, and is oil on canvas, which has a rather small size, only 18 x 16 inches. This work is a distinctive feature of Jan Vermeer’s artistic style, which shows painter’s great interest in optical effects. In this work the painter reached equilibrium between main colors and elementary shapes by means of resourceful and deft calculations, he also did some revisions while painting the work changing some of the details. The composition of this work reveals domestic calmness and serenity accentuated by water pitcher and basin, which serve as clear signs of purity and chastity.

The problem of interracial marriages is not new for the USA, the country is sometimes even called- the melting pot, which supports the fact that there are a lot of ethnicities there and no wonder that interracial marriage are not rare cases in America, but another fact is that people who risk and marry somebody of another race face a lot of problems, sometimes even absolutely unexpected ones. There are such sides of racial differences which can not be simply smoothened by some laws or politically correct terms and so on, they are even more than simply different skin color or appearance, some inborn traditions and views can not be simply forgotten.

An interesting tendency is described in the book by John O’Sullivan “Is Love Colorblind?” – the author pays attention that the effect of growth of interracial marriages led to increase of resentment towards white people from black and Asian men and women. Moreover, his statistical research showed that Black men more often than black women are involved into romantic relations with whites, and on the other hand, East Asian women are more likely to marry white men, then Asian men – to marry white women.
Many people think that as time passes the gaps between different races disappear, but this haven’t happened and will not probably happen in future. In the year 1990 in the article “The Black Gender Gap” were given proofs that the social climate was changing to the minimization of racial differences, as African- Americans made better progress in college and corporate worlds, had contacts with whites more often and so on. But “In contrast, black men had a decade to forget – including a big increase in African- American men in prison which certainly reduced their availability on the marriage market.” (2).

When women started to wear men’s clothes to prove that they are equal with men, that they are not inferior and can do the same job men do. It is a part of emancipation – women started to vote, earn money, and occupy important positions. Clothing was only a part of such process. Very painful process for women pioneers who were first to put on pants and jackets.

Only several decades ago the humanity was convinced that infectious diseases are no longer dangerous for the civilized world. However this confidence was substantially varied with the advent of human immune deficiency syndrome at the beginning of 80th. AIDS is not a rare disease nowadays. Leading specialists determine AIDS as “a global crisis of health”, as the first real huge and unprecedented epidemic of the infectious disease which is still not controlled by medicine and some time or other a lot of affected people die.

Language-based approach is an effective method, which deals with children’s phonological and morphological impairments. Its main aim is to improve their language and speech skills. During twelve weeks of work with children many of them show good results and improvement of their language performance is obvious.
It is proved by conducted research and its results, which are given in the tables 3, 4 and 5. Having analyzed these data, we can sum up that language-based approach is effective in the majority of cases. The main indicators of the results of the method are PCC (percent consonants correct), PWM (percent word match), CI (consistency index), stopping of fricatives and affricates on the phonological level and MLU (mean length of utterance), FMC (finite morpheme composite), contractible copula, use of third person singular, past tense regular and irregular forms on the language level. Table 4 gives us the results of work with a boy Connor who exhibited considerable progress in PCC from 49 % before the intervention to 69 % after it. Also, PWM increased from 56 % to 78%. Together with other indexes, which also show the benefit of the approach, the most remarkable are the indexes of the use of the third person singular and past tense ending –ed, from 0 % to 33 %.
