Making a Difference for Women Award

We never really know what we can do until we try it, but often people do not dare trying to do something new because of the fear that they fail. In such a situation, a positive example or winning some honorable rewards in the result of their efforts can be crucial for them and they can stimulate people to change their life for better. At least I know it from my personal experience.
Frankly speaking, I have always suffered from offenses and abuses from the part of other people and my own life was really unbearable. I used to attend slow learning classes, which was really depressing for me because I believed that I was a treated as a stupid, second class person, unable to be as good as others. Even when my mother transferred me from the slow learning class when I was going to the 9th grade, it was still a little help for me. In addition, I suffered from sexual molesting from the part of my stepfather and I felt really desperate because I felt unable to change my life for better and achieve something in my life. Instead, I felt as if I was a subject of constant abuses and discrimination. In such a situation, even my family life did not change the situation much for better.
Even though I have got two children, which birth was probably the best what happened to me in my entire life, I suffered from abusive behavior of my husband and again I was unable to protect myself or change my life for better.
When I look at my life, I am wondering how I could afford all these abuses and sufferings for so long and, at the same time, I am really grateful to sport and to awards I have won in it. To put it more precisely, once I have started practicing martial art and gradually I became quite successful in this field. Recently, I have won the 3rd Dan Black Belt and I am currently working towards my Master Belt in WTF Tae Kwon Do. It was really inspiring for me to succeed in martial arts, but what was even more important for me was the positive example I learned from other women who have already won honorable rewards. In fact, as I learned about a woman who won an honorable award I grew more confident in my own power to succeed in my own life. Probably this is why now I feel being a successful person. I am working with people at the age of 3 to 65 and I am teaching martial arts to them that makes my life really purposeful.
At the same time, what I believe is my lifetime goal is giving positive example to other women and girls and winning honorable awards seems to be of the utmost importance for me. I believe that when a woman gets an honorable award she supports substantially other women and girls suffering from low self-esteem and abuses from the part of other people. In this respect, sport is particularly important because it gives not only inspiration but also physical power. Now I am do self-defense seminars for women to help them to learn how to use their own power to protect themselves and I teach a leadership class to help students to empower them.
Thus, I think sport, honorable rewards and positive example can be very helpful for many women and girls who believe they are in a desperate position.
