A response essay is generally meant to provide the reader with a better understanding of how you personally feel about a particular subject. As such, when you write a response or reaction essay, you will discuss your personal thoughts and feelings on the subject.
Often response essays are applied to video, films, some events, presentations and so on. It can be like a comment to news, article, book, meeting. In these kinds of essays author expresses his own opinion and point of view about subject. In studying process can be used like a retelling of some excursion, film, trip, concert, etc.
Before start writing response essay, you should think about your feelings about seen previously, what thoughts you had, what impression it put on you.
All essay will be from the first person, which means you will use the word "I" while writing the document.
Response report can be made in all situations, whether you liked the subject, or not, you have some propositions, reactions, thoughts. There you can discuss moments you are not agree with, or suggest you own ideas.
IN the essay you can use phrases of opinion, like “As for me”, “Per my mind”, “I think that”, “I am not agree, because”. But every time you are not agree with statement, you should make a thesis, why do you think so, what would be better, what makes you think so. That is mean, that essay will not rely on facts because it focuses more on your opinions.
At the same time, you will utilize facts that you know or your own observations to help support your opinion. The more you will know about the subject, the more you will understand and be able to describe, why you have your opinion in that what you have.
The structure of the response essay is similar to usual essay. First, in introduction, you tell why you have decided to write this essay, to what subject, event or question it is dedicated. Then in the body of essay you open all problems, give characteristics of them and propose your own way out or your opinion. Conclusion used to summarize all information, say the final word and finish discussing.
If you really liked the subject, you understand it and you have some thoughts about it, response essay will not make difficulty to you, only thing you need, to be open and express your thoughts clearly.
